Do you know the exact path of your drill holes? It doesn't matter how many holes are drilled they will all deviate in some way, either swing in Azimuth or dip/climb in inclination. Very rarely are drill holes straight.
Even short holes deviate. For example, when blast hole drilling, drill holes are spaced evenly across the surface but unless the holes are surveyed it can not be determine where the holes are underground. Confirming the underground spacing of each hole, assists, improves and economizes blasting and associated operations.

AusMine has recently introduced a specially equipped Toyota Troop Carrier to its surveying fleet based from the Drill Hole Survey Division in Kalgoorlie.
The Troop Carrier is fitted out with surveying equipment to conduct surveys to a depth of 2000 metres and includes a North Seeking Gyroscope capable of surveying with Reverse Circulation and Wireline Drilling systems.
A self powered, trailer mounted 3000 metre winch is also now available.
